Do you need Polk Audio LC65i - LCi speaker - 2-way - white Great sound but better for rear or side speakersBy SunshineStaterI live in condo where space is at a premium. These in-wall speakers provide outstanding sound quality in a 5:1 system while saving much needed space. Movies and music are a true delight. I now hear sound details that I had never heard with previous speakers on my I Pod, internet stations, cable TV etc. When painted, they practically disappear. Installation was very easy with the included wall cut out templates. Instructions are detailed with diagrams and easy to understand. The brackets that attach to the back of the drywall are part of the speaker assembly and provide a rock solid mount. Polk customer service was absolutely outstanding when I called with questions as to speaker placement (did not to repair misplaced holes in drywall). My yourself skills are moderate at best. I use the LC265i as front left/right speakers, Polk LC65i as rears, Polk LC Center Speaker and a 10 inch Polk sub-woofer paired with an Onkyo-807 AV receiver. Overall, could not be more pleased with this sound system. Note-I originally purchased the LC 65 for front speakers but wanted more bass so I bought the LC 265i as fronts and moved the LC 65i to the rears where they are outstanding.See all 1 customer reviews... » More Information about Polk Audio LC65i - LCi speaker - 2-way - white.

Where I buy Polk Audio RC55i 2-Way In-Wall Speakers (Pair, White) Excellent Speakers!!By WeatherwiserI purchased a pair of these in-walls for a pool table/game room area I am building in the basement. My receiver is an Onkyo 805 7.1 home theater system and these will serve as stereo/audio part for only that room. I have never owned Polks or in wall speakers for that matter and listened to them at the big box store before purchasing these through Amazon. I was really impressed at the audio quality. I also didn't want floor standing speakers, but didn't want to sacrifice audio quality either so these speakers filled the bill. No back boxes are necessary, the speaker is designed as an "infinitebaffle" type and only requires that the front and rear moving sound waveare isolated from each other. Polk recommends to maximize the sound quality, you place a modest amount of a sound absorbing material, such as Polyfil (a synthetic cotton-like material found at craft/fabric stores) inside the cavity before installing the speakers. Supposedly, this will absorb the rear moving sound wave and reduce mid range coloration. I think insulation also works just as well. I haven't done this yet and they still sound excellent!20 of 22 people found the following review helpful. » More Information about Polk Audio RC55i 2-Way In-Wall Speakers (Pair, White).

This stuff Polk Audio LSi15 Left Channel Tower Speaker (Single, Cherry) Holds its ownBy S. BraderI have recently bought a left and right channel of these LSi 15s and I paired them with my Martin Logan Aeon i speakers. The LSi 15s hold there own with the Martin Logans, which cost 3 times as much. The MLs are a little more transparent and have a crisper high end, but not by much. When you play the LSi 15s you are listening to one of the best speaker bargains on the market today. Well made and designed. They are a beautiful speaker as well. When you listen to the MLs and the LSi 15s at the same time the sound is awesome and they complement each other very well. I know it sounds hard to believe but it's true. Speaker placement is critical for both speakers. If you follow the manufactures recommendations placement is fairly easy. You should have a fairly powerful amp at least 90 watts to really get the most from them. The only negative about the LSi 15s is the spikes and feet. This is a minor concern.0 of people found the following review helpful. » More Information about Polk Audio LSi15 Left Channel Tower Speaker (Single, Cherry).

Buying Polk Audio RM10 Speaker System (Set of Five, Black) Great little systemBy W. AhlbornThe clarity and warmth of these speakers really impress me every time I turn on my system. Paired with my Onkyo surround receiver, I am very happy with the purchase. The speakers are heavy for their size and feel very solid. It's tough to tell from the picture, but the ports are on the top angled surface, and the speaker grill has a port diffuser to disperse the sound. I bought them when they were on sale for $199; if they were regular price I would probably have had a harder time pulling the trigger. The wall mounting plates are average, a keyhole hanger design. It would be nice if they were designed to anchor to speaker stands; I had to use double sided adhesive on the bottom of the speaker to secure mine.4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. » More Information about Polk Audio RM10 Speaker System (Set of Five, Black).

Take a look at this Polk Audio Atrium 45 All-Weather Speakers (Pair, Black) Surprisingly good speakers for an outdoor spaceBy A photographerI bought a pair of these a couple of years ago from Crutchfield for just under $200. We had a back porch with outdoor fireplace built onto the house and wanted to have music without having to use a portable stereo boombox. I had some unused stereo equipment available so I ran some long lengths of speaker cable from the den to the roof beam of the porch. I started out trying to utilize a pair of small bookshelf speakers I had on hand but they sounded dreadful out there. I went shopping for some "made-for-the-outside" speakers and the Polks looked like they would fit the bill. I wasn't expecting much from these speakers, in all honesty. Trying to get good sound in such an open place was not something I thought to be possible. I was wrong. These are great little speakers and they put out a lot of sound for their size. The backyard in a city residential area is not the place to listen to the dynamic range in symphonies or operas, but popular music comes across extremely well. Despite the small woofer, there's a good deal of bass reproduction here. For more bass, Polk makes some larger outdoor speakers but the 45's are less obtrusive than larger speakers would be for my application.I have the speakers mounted under the shelter of the porch roof so I can't comment on how weather-proof they are for the long run. They have survived two years of some record high temperatures, some below-freezing temperatures and a lot of extreme humidity without a problem. If you mount them in the sun and the rain and the snow, I'm sure they will have a shorter life.I highly recommend these speakers if you have an outdoor-living space where you would like to listen to music.6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. » More Information about Polk Audio Atrium 45 All-Weather Speakers (Pair, Black).

Polk Audio M10 cherry

Where can I buy Polk Audio M10 Bookshelf Speaker (Cherry-Pair) Very nice speakers for the priceBy D. W. MoodyI'm using these speakers - with the Pyle mini 15w amp also available from Amazon - on my desk, playing sound from my PC and occasionally my PS3. I don't consider myself to be an audiophile, but I do have a discerning ear and a collection of headphones from Sennheiser, Grado Labs, and Sony. These speakers are a good value for the money. The midrange and treble are great, and while the bass isn't stellar, it's better than I'd expected given the size of the speakers. The stereo imaging is good. I've listened to a wide variety of music through these speakers, classical, jazz, country, and rock, and all sounded very good.Note that despite the item description, these speakers are indeed sold as a pair.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. » More Information about Polk Audio M10 Bookshelf Speaker (Cherry-Pair).

Take a look at this Polk Audio TSi500 Floorstanding Speaker (Single, Cherry) Extreme Performance in Audio and HTBy kratosExterior Finish - Got the speakers and unpacked them to an amazing sight of cherry finish with the high gloss back top. My wife absolutely loved it. They are one of the bigger towers and will dwarf even a 40inch TV.Sound - Listened to a lot of speakers..Paradigm studios, klipsch Icons, reference series, Polk Rtis, PSB image towers and Infinity towers....to me the paradigm studios were the best in sound but they were astronomical in terms of price. Finally it was between these and the PSBs, the klipsh Icons and the polks RTis sounded bright to me. Did a lot of listening with my own cd at Frys, my friends place, bestbuy and a whole list of places. The psbs seemed to have the best mid range but lacked the clarity at the highs these provided. The klipsch Icons were ruled out as even the TSI400s sounded better than those. Since i was looking for beefier mids I went with these and have not looked back since. Running them using an Emotiva amp. I have pushed them to a true 100 watts and they were wanting more. I could not go past this point as I dint want cops at my door...:) needless to say these performed like champs. For HT these are beasts...provides an in theater experience once the lights go out. Pair them with a CS20 and you will have an extreme front sound stage.Value - Must buy for the sheer value provided at this price range. An absolute yes to an audiophile who knows the law of diminshing returns or a practical person who wants most from his purchase.14 of 14 people found the following review helpful. » More Information about Polk Audio TSi500 Floorstanding Speaker (Single, Cherry).

Buy cheap Polk Audio R150 Two-Way Bookshelf Loudspeakers (Pair) Bargain at twice the priceBy C. CalnanI got these for fronts to make an RM6750 set 7.1 surround. It's hard to believe when I'm listening that I paid what I did. A CD through just these two and the sub woofer totally works for me. For context, I am a medium audiophile, using this setup in a 14' square room with carpeting. Something I noticed after testing the 'upside down' theory I read about somewhere, the tweeters seem to project down a little. If below ear level the highs come through a little better if you flip them over. Take a look at this Polk Audio LSiC Center Channel Speaker (Single, Black) Not quite up the standard of the other LSi speakersBy D. DrufkeGreat build quality and visual appeal. It matches our LSi25 and LSiFX system very well. Music sounds good, but dialog on movies doesn't hold up in my opinion. Where can I buy Polk Audio Monitor 30 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Black) Great bookshelvesBy LoveMyToysI have had the Monitor 30's for almost a year now and am incredibly impressed. Great bang for the buck (paid $140 on sale at CC). I am using these as fronts in my 7.1 surround set up, with Polk M10's as the surrounds and a Pioneer VSX-1018 avr and Sony 40S2010 LCD. I am still using a crappy jvc htib 60watt powered sub, but am planning on treating myself to a Avs123 X-sub for Christmas. :) Anyway, I am here to talk about the Polk M30. My set up is for a 15'x17'den. That's a fairly small room and I have a wife that agitated with overpowering sound (yeah, my love for audio equipment does not always over well). Although I would have loved to go for a floorstanding speaker, I agreed to stick to bookshelf size to keep my wife happy. The M30 certainly fit the bill. They have a clean, accurate sound with excellent highs and mids. The sound is linear and smooth, with a warm tone. If you like a brighter sounding speaker, these probably aren't for you and you might be better off with the Infinity Beta series. As far as bass goes, on my radio shack SLP, they drop as low as 50hz, which is pretty decent compared to most of the bookshelves I have heard and better than the specs indicate. Still, these speakers, by themselves don't produce enough bass depth for stand alone duty. You will need a decent sub that can make up for what the M30's lack and, given the m30 range, setting the crossover on the amp at 80 is the way to go with these babies. These speakers are designed for a tonal match with all other speakers in the monitor line and the M10's are perfect for satellite duty. I would recommend spending a little extra for the Polk CS1 center over the CSM (returned it). As for a sub to match, CNET likes the match between the Polk PWS10 with the Monitor 30s (used in their test). I auditioned the PSW10 and felt it was lacking umph. I preferred the sound of the Velodyne VX-10 or Dayton 120 (although I am going to take the advice my audiofile friends and go for the Avs123 sub-x for $200). The bottomline, the Monitor 30 is a high quality bookshelf speaker for a fair price. If you're a hardcore audiofile looking for paradigm and definitive bookshelves, the M30 isn't going to work for you. However, if you're looking for a nice sounding speaker but don't want to spend $800, these are ideal. Certainly, they blow away anything from sony, pioneer, yamaha and Bose etc.16 of 16 people found the following review helpful. » More Information about Polk Audio Monitor 30 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Black).

How about this Polk Audio RTi8 High Output Floorstanding Loudspeaker (Single, Black) Don't hesitate, buy before they're all gone!By Michael R. GebhardtAfter putting on the sturdy outriggers and spikes that they came with, I pulled out the speaker and the first thing everyone says is wow. Absolutely gorgeous cherry finish for a speaker at this price. Using 100 watt/channel a/v receiver the sound was immediately incredible even with 16 guage wire. I was planning on bi-amping with my other amps but these babies sound great without it. Great frequency response across the whole spectrum and they haven't even broken in yet. Yes, they are a little bright like most Polk's but not abrasively so. The sound is incredibly crisp with both movies and all types of music. THESE SPEAKERS WILL REVEAL FLAWS IN SOURCE MATERIAL. mp3's will sound flawed on these even at 320 kbps. The flac format was made for speakers like these. I could go on all day but I won't because I want to go fine tune them some more. Please don't hesitate. Easily worth $300 a piece.14 of 17 people found the following review helpful. » More Information about Polk Audio RTi8 High Output Floorstanding Loudspeaker (Single, Black).

How do I get Polk Audio VM30 Tower Speaker (Single, Silver) Very nice with one major caveatBy Michael G. WhissellPurchased 3 pair of VM30 + VM20 center.Detail & imaging is accurate & fast. Need sub as mentioned in most reviews.A little light/tipsy @25lbs each. Cables cannot be to large due to bottom access to single binding posts. And last but not least by long shot is the video shielding is short of nonexistent. This brand new Polk Audio R15 2-Way Bookshelf Loudspeakers (Pair, Black) Good inexpensive speakers, but not for golden-eared listenersBy E. OxenbergThe R15s from Polk can be had for as little as $50/pair if you spot a good sale, and are a reasonable buy for under $125/pair. They are small, not too heavy and nice looking. Like a lot of smaller speakers, they tend to open up more when played loudly than they do at lower listening levels. These ported speakers sound decent with lower-powered amps (I have a Proton 100, maded by NAD in the '90s, puts out 25 honest watts RMS) but may benefit from higher power in increased accuracy and balance. Since my amp sounds a bit warm, I found the output from the R15s was soft and too concentrated in the midrange at the expense of bass response. They don't have much extended bass, and benefit from the reinforcement of a decent subwoofer. I tried them alone and with an NHT 10" powered sub, and the low end was definitely improved with the added bass output.Compared to better --and more expensive -- bookshelf speakers, the R15s color their sound somewhat with thicker vocals, compressed guitars and horns, somewhat thumpy bass and drums and a noticible push in the midrange. I found them, however, a definite improvement over similar size units from Sony or JBL.I played music ranging from electronica and rock to jazz and classical. Hip-hop music tended to sound best because there really is no midrange in a lot of hip-hop tracks, so the speaker could concentrate in the highs and lows. Rock songs suffered from too-heavy guitar and weak bass response.Bass is improved by moving these close to a wall, though the speaker may get boomy, and drops off noticably when moved more than a foot out.The bottom line is, these speakers are pretty good for moderate stereo systems, smaller rooms and less discriminating listening, but better sound comes from other brands like NHT, Paradigm or Atom for a bit more money.See all 32 customer reviews... » More Information about Polk Audio R15 2-Way Bookshelf Loudspeakers (Pair, Black).

Best price Polk Audio RTI A1 Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Black) Beautiful aesthetics and unbelievable performance at a remarkable priceBy B. LeeI also own the previous generation RTi6 bookshelf speakers by Polk and was able to do a direct comparison. The 6s have larger drivers so their slight mid-bass advantage is to be expected, but in all other ways the RTi A1 is an improvement. The sound projects further outside of the cabinets, or rather the cabinets disappear and throw a great, wide sound-field outward. Instruments sound like they should, male voices aren't nasal or chesty, and the highs are soothing rather than sibilant and tinny (as the previous RTis could get under pressure). I have never heard a speaker this nice at a price this low.26 of 32 people found the following review helpful. » More Information about Polk Audio RTI A1 Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Black).
