I would get these over the RM 101 or the RM 7 because it has a 3.5" driver vs. 2.5" on the newer models. The bigger driver provides a more flexible frequency response of 40-22000 hz vs 95-22000 hz. You'll get better midrange sound which is what surrounds do most of the time. There's also a silk .5" tweeter which is pretty smooth, no harsh brightness here.Provided you have a decent sub to take care of the low end, these should will be great surround speakers.
