Unfortunately, when wired into the left and right speaker channels (without a dedicated subwoofer connection on the amp, as described in the manual) it introduces a really horrible distortion into the right and left speakers. This is probably because of the way it piggybacks onto the existing L/R speaker connections, but really makes the product worthless. I returned the item after less than 12 hours of ownership and am quite happy with the bass provided by the Atrium 45 speakers that I purchased at the same time.Bottom line: Unless your outdoor amp has dedicated subwoofer connections, don't bother with this product.
